The third lesson

Today I had to post the previous thing about Lim Bo Seng. It is just that he was a war hero, an anti-Japanese resistance fighter. We had to research about his biography and what to do to present it.

Lesson 3

This lesson, our group discussed about Lim Bo Seng and how we going to videotape him and his memorial. I distributed the things to do for each member.

Woksheet 2

About Lim Bo Seng

Lim Bo Seng was a World War II anti-Japanese resistance fighter. He was born in 1909 to a wealthy businessman. He participated actively in activities organised by the Nanyang Federation to boycott Japanese goods and raise funds for the Chinese army and he also work with Force 136 agents to gather military intelligence about the Japanese forces to aid the British in planning their re-capture of the colonies from the Japanese but it failed. He was captured and was taken to the Kempeitai Headquarters for interrogation and he refused to provide the Japanese with any information about Force 136 despite being subjected to severe torture. Instead, he protested against the ill-treatment of his comrades in prison. He fell ill with dysentery and was bedridden by the end of May 1944. He died on June 29, 1944.

What I have learnt

The first lesson - I only remember Mr Wong saying that Singapore is a multi-racial country. The rest - I did not listen.

The first lesson was enjoyable as it taught quite a lot in the process. I like the Group Research And Collaboration  Expenditure (GRACE), Mr Wong. He gave me lots of examples on ideas I should work on and helped me clear my doubts. I hope that it will continue on like this for the rest of the lesson in the future.
